Biography

M.W.Bro. Brian L. Cotter, P.G.M.
Brian was born in Hebron, Nebraska and has lived in Colorado since the age of 10. After graduating from Trinidad
High School he experienced several occupational ventures including driving a truck over the road, tending to the
family farm and helping to operate the family Funeral Home. His secondary education includes studies at Trinidad
State Junior College and a Degree in Mortuary Science from the Dallas Institute of Funeral Service in Dallas,
Texas. He and his brother currently own and operate the Davis Mortuary in Pueblo, as they have for the last 20
years. He serves as a Mortuary Officer on the U.S. Government's Disaster Mortuary Operational Response Team. Brian
has served in his church in several capacities including Elder, and two terms as the Mesa Junction Business
Association President in Pueblo. He is married to the former D. Jean "Jeanie" Covault, a native of Iowa. Together
they enjoy the few quiet days at their home in Pueblo, as well as the company of family and friends including
Brian's four siblings and their families as well as Jeanie's three sons and their families. He is also an avid
college football fan. Past Master and former Secretary of South Pueblo Lodge #31, a member of the Pueblo York
Rite Bodies, 32 Degree KCCH in the Southern Colorado Scottish Rite Bodies as well as a member of the Al Kaly Shrine.
